Mogok Ruby can take this competitive handicap with Fromsong and Benllech among other with chances. The selection is relatively lightly raced and open to further improvement, especially at this trip. His most recent outing when third to Bazroy is good in context, with that horse having gone on to win a couple of times since and off higher marks, so he may be able to do better. He acts at the track, though he has not yet won here, but today can be the first time. Fromsong is also a course winner who was a comfortable Kempton scorer last time over the minimum trip. This looks tougher however, and he is not ultra consistent so is opposable. Benllech has been red hot here lately, winning his last three c&d starts and going up 15lb in the ratings as a result. He merits plenty of respect and could give the selection most to do. Sands Crooner is clearly better at five furlongs, while Strathmore prefers Southwell and Mogok Ruby is the pick here.
