Support for Sadler's Star, a winner in Germany, would be intriguing but the claims of Sgt Schultz are preferred to Wicked Daze and Pass The Port. The selection bounced back from a spell in the doldrums to come home a length to the good of Pass The Port over course and distance last month. He is 1lb worse off with the runner-up today but scored a shade cosily, has a fine strike rate on the all-weather and hails from a yard in form. The one to fear is the unexposed Wicked Daze whose confidence may well have been boosted by his win at Southwell where he only had to turn up to score. The form of his penultimate start at Kempton has worked out well and it would be no surprise if he turned out to be ahead of the assessor but Sgt Schultz may prove good enough today.
