Miss Pebbles, Light The Dawn and Pride are the three against the field here, with preference going to Miss Pebbles. Dane O'Neill takes the mount on this daughter of Lake Coniston who hasn't embarrassed herself against the likes of Tadris and Rossiya on her last two outings, and deserves to get her head in front. Gerard Butler trains Pride, who had just the one run in France last season, where she showed a lot of promise to finish third. The others with form don't appear to be good enough so John Gosden's Light The Dawn is selected as the main threat. This daughter of Indian Ridge runs in the colours of Robert Sangster and could be capable of winning on her belated racecourse debut. However Miss Pebbles may just have the edge on this occasion and gets the vote.
