Lucayan Monarch is nothing if not consistent and should make his presence felt again, with the likes of Lucid Dreams, Double Ransom and Meelup also likely to have a say in proceedings. Lucayan Monarch has been one to follow throughout the winter for Paul Blockley, and it will not be long before he repays current connections based on latest efforts. Beaten a short-head by Lucid Dreams on 25 February, he meets that rival on a pound better terms and with Johnny Murtagh in the saddle, should make a bold bid to atone. Meelup has found one too good on each of his last two starts, but was not beaten far in a similar race to this eight days ago on his first start for Jane Southcombe. Strictly on a line through Lucid Dreams, Double Ransom has a great chance, but his win over the latter was his first for a long time and he does have to shoulder topweight. Any moves for Shahm would be interesting, and Indian Blaize has a decent weight. An open looking affair can go to Lucayan Monarch.
