A very competitive start to the card where Bevier, Gracious Air and Malmand all have claims, however we will take a chance with Sadlers Swing. This son of Red Ransom showed improved form to run Jake Black close over a slightly shorter trip last week. He would probably have won that contest if he hadn't fallen out of the stalls, and as that was his first outing for six months he is entitled to improve. Bevier ran well in a class G handicap here at the end of last month so is entitled to go close here. Meanwhile Gracious Air has to enter calculations on her defeat of Dancing King here last month. There is also a form line with Kenny The Truth that gives her a similar chance to the selection. Malmand looked non too keen last time out but was successful over course and distance last month so also merits respect. So a tough race to get us underway , but Sadlers Swing could be the best option.
