A trappy finale to the day's card with all 14 runners rated within 2lbs of each other on official BHB ratings. Indian Blaze, a winner of his last three starts all over course and distance, comes here here on top of his form but Andrew Reid's gelding faces a stiffer task in this race than in those contests two of which were in plating company. Mark Polglase's Down To The Woods and the ex-Irish Kilbride King are well treated on their best but are difficult to recommend on recent form. Mick Ryan's French Horn and the Mark Tompkins-trained Sky Dome are unproven over the trip. Sky Quest and Smoothie are closely matched on running behind Gig Harbor last month and are entitled to be thereabouts as are the unexposed duo of Mad Carew and Tiger Tops. The selection though is Mark Brisbourne's Eddu. The son of Casteddu showed his liking for the surface when chasing home Haripur on his all-weather debut in selling company in December. Subsequent seconds in a handicap behind Most-Saucy and a classified stakes race behind Parachute (winner since) confirmed that a win is not far away and, with no obviously well handicapped rival in opposition here, today could be the day for the five-year-old.
