A competitive affair gets proceedings underway. Easter Ogil won well over course and distance last time out when defeating Archon in a driving finish. However he has risen in the weights for that victory and has since changed stables. Border Edge won with more in hand than the winning margin suggests last tie out when defeating Mush, and despite being raised by the handicapper he will be hard to beat with conditions again in his favour. Superchief the top weight is well in on his best form and he is from a stable that has had winners of late. Any market move could be significant as this is his optimum trip. Kinsman showed signs of a revival last time out when fourth behind Roy McAvoy over course and distance. He could go well at a fair price as he is running off a handy mark. Its Ecco Boy ran well when third behind King Nicholas last time but he gave the impression he would be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Mr Bountiful would be a danger to all on his best form but he has a long absence to overcome. Amelia was third behind Sounds Lucky last time out but he has gone up the weights for that defeat, and he may now be in the handicappers grip.
