Another competitive handicap in which many can be given chances but a chance is taken on Pretence. He won well last time when defeating Kristoffersen. He is sure to have come on for the run and he looks to be on a fair mark on this his first try in a handicap. Callifornian is hard to asses as he only does as much as necessary, but he won well last time out when defeating Arry Dash and he could be ahead of the handicapper. Agillis has been in fine form of late but he ran as if the handicapper had caught up with him when fourth behind Desert Spirit last time. Desert Spirit has hot up the weights for that victory and he is not proven at the trip so for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Caroubier is from a yard in top form and he was a fair second behind Coolbythepool but this looks a much tougher race and he needs to improve again to score. Humouresque is also in fine form having won his last two races. He defeated Let Me Try Again last time out and that horse has since won so the form looks rock solid. Makulu could also go well at a fair price but he will need to improve on his latest second behind Ephesus to win. Of the remainder Magenta Rising could also go well with the step up in trip sure to suit.
