    Verdict

Forge Valley Lad arrives in good form but there is no guarantee he’ll stay this far. Danni California got back to winning ways at Southwell in January but was well behind Pons Aelius at Kempton earlier. Suited by fast going on Turf, Charlie Johnston’s stayer should be suited by the surface here and had no luck in-running on his return to action when behind First Emperor and Diamond Bay. HAKU is another running here for the first time but he’s consistent and there is stamina in his pedigree so he gets the nod. Silverscape is weighted to be thereabouts and Carzola won easily over course and distance latest while Mr Escobar is a rare runner here for new handler Willie Mullins. Ehteyat was turned over by First Emperor here in January but should reverse that form on today’s terms.
