Dear My Friend edges Rousing Encore at the weights though both have come up short in Pattern company so far. The former is preferred to stablemate Benacre but GALERON posted his best effort of last season with a victory in the valuable Goffs Million over 7f at the Curragh in September. This extra distance should suit and Charlie Hills’ charge is one of several entered in the 2000 Guineas. That also includes the novice winners Obelix and Flight Plan and the maiden winner Arabian Storm while Chuzzlewit is in the Irish Guineas. Tenjin finished less than a length behind Brave Emperor, rated 101, last month and that form gives him a shout in this.
