        Verdict

        A few of these have been threatening to get their head in front of late including KOLONEL KIRKUP. Placed in his last three starts, an apprentice's 5lb allowance could make the difference today. Salient was still beaten five lengths when runner-up here last time while last year's winner Novel Dancer is 3lb higher than his win at Kempton in January. One Last Dream hasn't been far away off today's mark recently and Jayeff Herring went within a length of losing his maiden tag when fourth at Wolverhampton last time.
