Pascha Bere is preferred to Laredo Sound with Prince Broc and Hareem perhaps best of the rest. Prince Broc and Hareem may yet prove capable of better but both have too much to prove to be considered for anything more than minor honours and the focus is firmly on the two principals. Laredo Sound takes up this option rather than a handicap later on the card and should be a major player on this stage. He showed promise on his first two starts over 2 miles 4 and 2 miles 6 in races won by Lodge Lane and Turbulance before outclassing the opposition over 2 miles at Southwell. He was no match for the likes of Group Captain last time but has to be feared. The selection comfortably got the better of I Have Dreamed last time to leave the form of his debut behind. The second has since disappointed and wouldn't have been suited by the testing conditions that day but the third and fifth have run well since. He showed smart form on the Flat in France, the faster ground and shorter trip won't be a problem and Pascha Bere could prove to be an above average recruit.
