Verdict

A disappointing turnout for this nursery where NOVERRE TO GO, who takes a drop back in trip can land it. Second on debut over six furlongs, two efforts subsequently over seven furlongs indicated that a drop back by a furlong would not go amiss. Having looked the most likely winner last time with over a furlong to run, he hung badly, possibly owing to wilting stamina. While the form was not franked by the winner Film Set next time out, the third Shabib has indicated a high level of ability in a Newmarket maiden previously which adds some credence to the form. Joe Caster benefited from the break-neck pace which was set at Great Leighs last time out. His apprentice takes off a very valuable 5lb here which offsets the majority of his penalty acquired for that success. Of the John Best pair, the most interesting is Diamond Twister who stayed on well to take the runner-up spot at Kempton last time out. He might just prefer further and with only four runners a brisk pace is not guaranteed. Noverre To Go is nominated to win it for the John Best stable.
