Verdict
Similar to division one, many of the top stables are represented and the market should provide a good guide to the outcome of the race. FORMULA is given the vote to win it after a pleasing effort last time when finishing second behind the impressive winner Haashed. The front two there drew well clear of the remainder which were headed by Featherweight who has shown a decent level of form beforehand. Lipi and Premier Banker represent the powerful yards of Sir Michael Stoute and Jeremy Noseda respectively. Premier Banker is of some interest given the fact he is a half-brother to River Tiber, who himself was a smart sort in his own right. Blinkers are now applied to Charlie Smirke who to his defence has come up against some smart sorts along the way. He does look vulnerable to lesser exposed sorts though while Jamie Spencer is an eye-catching booking for Green Dynasty, a full-brother to Chinese Mandarin, a former Ballydoyle in-mate who went onto success in foreign fields after departing those quarters. It is an interesting maiden and Formula showed enough last time to warrant him getting the vote here although market moves for any of the newcomers should be noted.
