Verdict

Serramana is nominated for the finale with Miss Glory Be and Jomus suggested as the most feasible alternatives. Serramana is set to race off a 9lb higher mark when the reassessment factor comes into force. A third in a Newmarket fillies race over 1m4f caught the attention of the handicapper and John Naylor has wisely decided to strike while the iron is hot. Miss Glory Be certainly travelled like a winner on the all-weather track last Saturday night. That said, that was not the first time she did that and it probably will not be the last. Jomus has joined Les Montague Hall since performing modestly in a seller for Andrew Reid. This does appear to be Jomus' time of year if past seasons are anything to go by but a leap of faith has to be factored into any confidence today. Swift Alchemist returns after a long absence. Overnight rain would far from inconvenience. Paso Doble is exposed at plating levels although is significantly lower in the handicap on turf than on the all-weather. Fantasy Crusader is best of the rest. A modest race that can go to Serramana.
