Tom Dascombe looks to have unearthed an improver in Desert Dreamer, who can take this from Secret Night, King Of Dixie and Danetime Lord. The selection has gone up 5lb for a half length Kempton win last time, but does handle Lingfield, as evidenced by his two wins over c&d prior to that. The draw is a bit of a concern this time, but he still looks good enough to maintain the upward curve. King Of Dixie was a comfortable scorer at Kempton last time and makes his handicap debut after just two runs. A mark of 90 is stiff enough and he looks best watched this time. Secret Night was another c&d scorer last time and is upped 3lb for that success. He clearly enjoys it here and there may be more to come. Danetime Lord is 5lb better off with the selection after being defeated by him last time but given the improvement of his rival he is not fancied to turn the tables. Purus had a nice pipe opener at Lingfield last time and should come on for that, but he may have to give best to Desert Dreamer, who can continue to go the right way.
