Kilvickeon rates as a solid each-way option in a tricky contest, where Priceless Melody, Totally Free and the unexposed Foreland Sands are others worth noting in the betting. Foreland Sands showed very little in three starts in maidens before finishing fourth when making his handicap here last week. He ran too freely in the early stages and struggled to get home as a result. He can be expected to be sharper for the outing and has to be considered as a big threat. Totally Free won a seller here last month and seems to like the lay-out at Lingfield. he is no world-beater but has each-way claims at this level. Priceless Melody, whose yard always have to be respected here, appears to be getting the hang of things and was unlucky to encounter a well treated rival last time out. Still, he gave his all in running Pietersen to a length and a quarter and a repeat dose would bring him right into the argument. However, Kilvickeon also represents a stable that have enjoyed a healthy strike rate on the AW during the last few months and, as the handicapper seems reluctant to pile on the pressure, the Peter Grayson-trained gelding looks well treated for at least place in the shake up today.
