      Verdict

      MY BEST BET can land this tight handicap where only Mandhooma appears to face an uphill test at the weights. The remainder are quite closely matched (on form) but it would be no surprise to see Hellbender throw down the sternest challenge to the selection. The Sylvester Kirk-trained colt had no response to the late surge of My Best Bet when they met at Wolverhampton last November, though. And he has improvement to find from somewhere if he is to reverse the tables today. Romantic Queen has a penalty to carry for a smooth success last week, but she now has more on her plate in giving weight away to the rest, while Bold Rose is beginning to look exposed and is not for the feint-hearted. Therefore, the process of elimination brings us back to My Best Bet, who is a filly on the up-grade and she may make up for her late start to her career with another bold show today.
