Soft Focus could be of interest on his return with Eddie Ahern booked but an absence of 106 days is of concern and a safer bet looks to be Hollow Jo, who is preferred to Sweet Pickle. The last mentioned is capable but, in reality is little better than plating class, while Montillia who had form on the sand in Spain made a winning return to turf at Musselburgh when last seen in July but may need the run. Michael Jarvis does well with his runners on the all-weather so Red Finesse would have to be of interest on his sand debut, while Charlie Bear may not appreciate the drop in trip to six furlongs. Zorn is entitled to come on for his reappearance last month and is another to consider but the vote goes to the John Jenkins-trained Hollow Jo, who has progressed from banded stakes company to win a handicap over course and distance last time and is taken to follow up off his 5lb higher mark today.
