Cormorant Wharf looks to have a good chance and is the pick ahead of Look of Eagles, Hard To Catch and Ivory Lace. Cormorant Wharf only had three outings in all last year, a win at Wolverhampton sandwiched between two placings here, but for one reason or another he has not been seen since March. Gary Moore's charge is dropped back in trip here for his return, and this seven furlongs will be just about right for him on his return. Rated 69 when last seen, he starts on the same mark, and with a good draw in stall one, he can come back with a bang. Look of Eagles has disappointed here in two starts and has been confined to Southwell's Fibresand track. Paul Cole is persisting with him though, and you can be sure that he will find an opportunity sooner or later. Hard To Catch has not lived up to his name yet but has been consistent and will be suited by the step back up to seven furlongs, but he is now worse off at the weights with Ivory Lace on latest running, and it has to be said that the latter did not have the smoothest of passages. Cormorant Wharf will come on for the run, but we hope that he will go close on his return.
