Verdict

CONSTANTINO had four months off before scoring over a mile at Newcastle in June. He's only 1lb higher and though the track and trip could be on the sharp side he should have enough pace to make a successful reappearance. Poet's Society went up 4lb for landing a Class 4 handicap at Chelmsford and couldn't cope at this level here last month. Mitchum Swagger has changed stables but was racing in top company for much of last season and his close 4th in the Group 3 John Of Gaunt at Haydock is the stand-out form here. Swift Approval didn't take to Tapeta last time but his earlier runs in this class here and at Kempton put him right in the picture. Shyron wasn't far behind him on this track in January while Take The Helm was in excellent form in the early part of last season, especially on this track, though an absence since April is a concern.
