High Diva is given a chance to redeem herself here, with Theatre Lady and Altares put forward as major threats. John Best's mare was rated sixty at the start of 2003 but has been dropping steadily over the past twelve months after some poor performances. However on the odd occasion, she does show signs of her former ability and if she does decide to put the effort in today she could land this at a decent price. Theatre Lady is an obvious danger having chased home Beltane over course and distance last week. She also ran up to her usual standards in a better race than this on Sunday and must figure in the finish today. Altares is the dark horse in the line up. she showed absolutely nothing on her Lingfield all-weather debut in January, but was noted making steady headway next time behind Miss Peaches. She hails from a very shrewd yard and is worth checking out in the betting market. So not a race to plunge into too deeply but High Diva does have strong claims.
