SPIRIT WARNING has improved for the switch to Polytrack and was always travelling best when scoring over a mile under Josh Bryan at Kempton. On that evidence, a 2lb rise and a slight drop in distance should not be insurmountable. Port of Leith is a previous course and distance winner and it would be no surprise to see a return to form for Mark Johnston’s charge while Lieutenant Conde remains unexposed and is preferred to recent track and trip second Hypnos and an out-of-sorts Hua Hin.
