Back Me Up won three times over timber last year and has scored after a break in the past so should go well if taking to the bigger obstacles. Winning point-to-pointer Beg La Eile made a fair chasing debut at Fairyhouse on fast ground in October but was well out of his class when stepped up to Grade 3 company at Clonmel where the heavy going didn't help. There are several other point-to-point winners in the line-up but the one to beat is SHIRLEY CASPER. Dessie Hughes' mare, a Grade 2 bumper winner back in 2006, hasn't had too much racing over the past couple of years but landed a Grade 3 novice hurdle at Fairyhouse last April and made a very promising chasing debut after a long absence behind Loup Du Saubouas at Naas last month.
