Verdict

Patrick Mullins chooses MERCUREY of the champion trainer’s winning pair and his mount was a long odds-on chance when easily winning at Gowran. The stable has acquired recent easy Naas winner Impulsive Dancer and he looks an obvious threat under Jody Townend. Aide De Camp stayed on well once getting the hang of the job at Punchestown but the newcomers face very stiff tasks against proven performers.
