In depth

Verdict

Mellow Manner was brought with a well-timed effort to score over a mile at Killarney but has never tackled beyond that trip on the Flat and she's run poorly when tried over hurdles. Coppers has had two placed efforts in 22 starts, both on Polytrack, so it's difficult to work up enthusiasm for her while Farranderry makes her handicap debut and hasn't shown much so far. STAR OF ARAGON has the strongest form of any of these and has generally been in good heart on the level and over timber. He is better over further but these races are often run at a furious gallop and his stamina can come into play. He gets the nod over the lightly-raced and promising Placere, a very good fourth behind Scots Gaelic at Fairyhouse on his handicap debut a couple of weeks ago.
