Plenty of theses arrive in top form including Spancil Hill, who attempts a hat-trick. A comfortable winner at Punchestown, he followed up with an emphatic victory over Rooster Byron at Gowran and, though hit with a 13lb rise, is still on a lower mark than over fences. Isodon gained a hard-fought victory at Downpatrick but Davy Russell has chosen to ride the stable's Goodthynemilan, a very easy winner at Cork earlier this month.
