Verdict

Shannon Spirit and HARPSY CORD are the obvious form picks and look difficult to separate. The latter gained a debut success in a Thurles bumper before finishing down the field in last year's Festival Bumper at Cheltenham. He has done well over hurdles and his second to The Pier back at Thurles in January was an excellent run. He looks certain to lose his maiden tag before long but may find Harpsy Cord too strong for him at this stage. Jim Dreaper's point-to-point winner has come up against very strong opposition on both starts over timber, finishing runner-up to the classy So Young at Leopardstown and a close third to Raptor and subsequent winner Westmeath at Punchestown. He looks destined for bigger things and this is an ideal stepping stone. I'lltelimar King showed promise at Navan last month and can run into a place.
