In depth

Verdict

Buck Rogers landed a 2m4f Wexford maiden then found 2m much too short on his handicap debut at Gowran. Winning bumper More Info ran very well over the minimum here last month where he was suited by the testing conditions. He holds third-placed Lauderdale Lady on that run while Elusive Star stayed on strongly over this course and distance the same day and looks the type to improve further. BEATING THE ODDS was inconsistent last winter but showed his liking for this sort of trip and heavy going when landing a Fairyhouse handicap on his reappearance and looks the one to beat if in the same kind of form. Winning point-to-pointer Castlegrange is a likely improver while Handsworth appeared to find 2m6f beyond him at Navan after a good run over 2m at Wexford.
