Crassus looked a likely future winner when runner-up to Duffle Coat at Punchestown but fell at Ballinrobe and was beaten a dozen lengths by Glorious Zoff at Sligo. The winner was beaten when long odds-on at Sedgefield next time, though that wasn't his form. On Guard, a winner at Yarmouth for John Gosden, started a short-priced favourite on his hurdling debut at Killarney but didn't look at ease over the hurdles and will need to jump very much better. PALM BEACH is by Galileo and a full brother to four winners. He had just two runs for Aidan O'Brien, scoring at Listowel on heavy ground in September, and can make a successful debut over timber. French Asset may prove best of the remainder.
