Acronym followed his two bumper victories with a fair hurdling debut over the minimum at Punchestown where he looked as though this sort of trip would suit. He's in the same ownership as Dream Conti, a Fairyhouse bumper winner who made a promising start over timber behind the odds-on Tornado Flyer at Punchestown when Hotel Du Nord was 4l behind. That winner is trained by Willie Mullins, who has Clonmel bumper winner CASTLEBAWN WEST (NAP) entered here. He just failed to concede 8lb to Western Honour over this trip at Clonmel and that form may be good enough for this. Mount Pelier finished in front of Acronym in a Wexford bumper but was disqualified when it was found his rider wasn't qualified for the race.
