After a promising run behind Power at the Curragh, SECRETARY OF STATE was surprisingly beaten by Blue White Flower at Gowran but the remainder, including today's rival Jimtown, were well beaten off and the winner is probably very useful. Aidan O'Brien's charge can gain his first success here though Teolane should make major progress from her Naas debut as she missed the break and ran very green. David Wachman's newcomer Precious Dream is out of Oaks winner Lady Carla so should do better in time.
