Verdict

Golden Spell has gradually improved and followed her maiden success by carrying a big weight to victory in a Curragh nursery. Dawn Delivers was twice beaten by useful types before seeing off another potentially decent sort at the Curragh but Aidan O'Brien looks to have the answer to this. Easter Lily and HAPPILY both made their debuts in the race won by subsequent Royal Ascot winner September here last month with the former coming out best. She impressed with her victory over this course and distance later but it's the latter, a full-sister to Gleneagles and Marvellous, who looks to have the brighter future after beating today's rival Shalailah at the Curragh. Dermot Weld wouldn't be throwing Betsey Trotter in at the deep end without good reason though she has a lot to do.
