      Verdict

      FYRE CAY was doing his best work at the finish over 5f here on his debut but just failed to catch the winner. This longer trip will suit Kevin Ryan’s colt on that evidence. Take Shelter has been placed over the minimum trip before but a previous attempt at 6f doesn’t boost confidence while Dorcas is another stepping up in distance. Situation was due to run at Catterick yesterday while the newcomers look nothing out of the ordinary on breeding.
