In depth

Verdict

John Oxx has some superbly-bred inmates in his yard and Askeria certainly comes into that category as she's a half-sister to the brilliant Azamour and several other high-class performers. Whether she will be good enough to beat the Ballydoyle representative SEPTEMBER MORN is another matter as Johnny Murtagh's pick of the three O'Brien entries is another blue-blood and looked in need of his return run behind Mister Carter here last month. Faranadooney took a long time to get the hang of things on his debut behind Legendary Lad at Cork but stayed on nicely and will have benefited from the experience. Maverick Man will need to improve on what he showed in his first campaign but there is every chance he will do so.
