Verdict
We kick of proceedings with a novice hurdle and hopefully REBEL DU MAQUIS can outpoint Bangkok Pete and Persian Run. Paul Nicholls' horse is officially the highest rated and certainly looks the one to beat with a decent seven lbs claimer booked too. On his latest running he has the beating of the Tizzard horse but Persian Run does re-opposes on seven lbs better terms. However I would be confident he could up hold the form. There won't be much between them though as Persian Run looks to be improving. His latest effort was by far and away his best since his last win which came on this track. Even on seven lbs better terms I don't fancy him to turn around the form with the selection and a bigger danger may come in the form of Bangkok Pete. He was outclassed on his latest start and this is more his grade. The form of his fourth last run took a huge boost last week when Love Of Tara bolted up at Wetherby. In fact all of his last four runs have been boosted in some shape or form and he doesn't have a whole lot to find with the selection. Watch out for market moves on Louis Pasteur and Howlin At The Moon. Rebel Du Maquis just gets the nod over Bangkok Pete with the decent seven lbs pound claimer being the deciding factor.
