Nonrunner
The Bathwick Tyres Salisbury Novices' Handicap Chase has only eight runners going to post but the race has a slightly competitive look about it. Painter Man will go off a short priced favourite but the Pipe runner will be encountering the quickest ground he's ever raced on. At around 6-4 value will be had else where and we like the Evan Williams horse. BRENIN CWMTUDU has some nice form on quick ground and the son of Saddlers Hall has raced on it since August 2008. On his hurdles form he is very much well in this novice chase event. He had a rating of 117 over hurdles and races from a mark of 102 over the larger obstacles. His recent form is not inspiring but if the money comes he could go well at a nice price. The Alners are in good form and their charge, Might As Well, must come into the equation on the back of his last run. He finished second to Dancing Mist who now has a rating in the 120s. He is one horse who will see out the marathon trip of three miles and his rating of 97 does not look too harsh. Wise Men Say and Paradise Expected should be monitored in the betting but they'll do well to trouble the first three mentioned.
