Verdict

An open contest in which rowing in with a maiden may not appear the wisest of decisions but RED GERRY looks well treated, has sound form in the book highlighted by a close second to Blenheim Palace at Navan in the spring and didn't run at all badly when third in a decent Galway handicap last time at the week-long festival. He's also well enough drawn to take a more prominent early position should connections so decide. Finding Nero has enjoyed a good season but has probably found higher marks more demanding of late, although he's expected to go well again. Claim The Lady and Suaimhneach also make appeal but the prime danger could well come from Agent Zigzag despite his considerable burden as he particularly impressed at the Curragh on his penultimate start.
