In depth

Verdict

Dunquin has been well supported in all of his starts to date and been generally disappointing though Jim Bolger will find a race for him at some stage. Father Christmas and Shark Island represent Aidan O'Brien, who has made a slow start to the campaign, but neither showed much on their debuts though the latter has plenty of fancy entries. Sacrificial ran well in all of his five starts including on ground with some give at Naas in August. He'll be ready for this and will take some beating but Dermot Weld has made such an outstanding start to the season that he can take this with the Oasis Dream colt GULF OF POETS, who Pat Smullen has chosen over Tuk Tuk.
