COUGAR MOUNTAIN is not quite up to Group 1 company but won over track and trip last month when dropped into a Group 3 contest. He can confirm running with Convergence and makes more appeal than stablemates Sir Isaac Newton and War Envoy. Custom Cut won a Group 2 at Sandown on his reappearance but has failed to match that form since though he still has the beating of both Lightning Spear and Top Notch Tonto on his second to Arod in the Diomed at Epsom in June. Onenightidreamed is progressing well with a first victory in pattern company over track and trip in May but will need a further step forward to figure in this.
