In depth

Verdict

Karl Burke sends Lord Of The Lodge from the UK and, though he's been racing on the all-weather, he'll love the fast conditions. Pearls Galore completed a double last summer before a cracking effort in a Gowran Group 3 though that was on testing ground and she could find the going a bit lively. Snapraeterea is another who has shown her best form on ground with plenty of give so MONAASIB looks the form pick. Kevin Prendergast's colt, runner-up to High Definition in the Group 2 Beresford at the Curragh in September, was only just over a length behind Poetic Flare in the 2,000 Guineas Trial here before finding heavy going against him in the Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh. Speak In Colours landed a Group 3 at Fairyhouse last summer where she had Soul Search four lengths behind.
