WHAT A CHARM won this as a three-year-old last season before turning to hurdling and landing the Fred Winter at Cheltenham. She landed a Listed contest on the level at Listowel in September and is only 7lb higher than a year ago so gets the vote to defy her big weight. Prince Chaparral, runner-up a year ago, also went hurdling but without the same success and has it all to do to take revenge. Pond Cottage ploughed through the Galway mud to land an amateurs race from Montan and though he started a huge price there was no fluke about the victory. If the going turns heavy he'll be thereabouts while Pozyc looks on a fair mark and has scored over timber since his success on the Flat at Galway. Hidden Universe has generally promised more than he's produced and it was only a maiden that he won at Navan last time but he's a classy performer at his best and connections can't be too unhappy with his mark for his handicap debut. Silvestre De Sousa had one booked ride at the whole meeting, Whatuthink, so connections must believe the chaser is capable of a big run.
