Peregrine Run is searching for his 18th career victory and though he's yet to win under Flat Rules a mark of 76 underestimates his ability. Shanroe, a triple bumper winner, has been in superb form scoring on the Flat and over hurdles in June before beaten into second when odds-on over timber at Cork. He should make a bold bid and though Allora Yeats is 16lb higher than her last victory she ran a fine race from this mark at Galway last week. Three-times winner Tonkinese hasn't proved he stays this far but Tirmizi has won on the course and over the trip, though is on a long losing run. THE MOUSE DOCTOR (NAP) pops up every now and then and his last two runs have been in much stronger handicaps. He's only 2lb higher than his last victory and his rider's claim can give him the edge.
