Supasundae won this last year when shocking Faugheen and though twice beaten by APPLE'S JADE in his previous two starts both were over much longer trips. He was also a long way behind Gordon Elliott's mare in the Hatton's Grace in December but returned to form in the Ryanair over this track and trip when runner-up to Sharjah, with Tombstone two lengths back in third, Melon the same distance away in fourth and Petite Mouchoir, who won this in 2017 and had been chasing, last of the six runners though only beaten nine lengths. The selection hasn't raced over a trip this short since beaten a nose by Irving in the 2016 Fighting Fifth but she's been winning in such brilliant style that it appears unlikely anything will get close enough. Melon was undoubtedly disappointing last time though the Champion Hurdle runner-up is said to be approaching his peak while Triumph Hurdle winner Farclas has struggled against seniors.
