An interesting maiden with some well-bred newcomers in action but Soyuz has the form in the book and sets a fair standard. The son of Cadeaux Genereux showed the benefit of his initial start when an encouraging runner-up of 21 over this trip at Windsor earlier in the month (Sun Hill behind) and, with further improvement anticipated, is the TEAMtalk selection to get off the mark. Compton Emperor is related to juvenile winners and hails from a shrewd yard so should be noted in the market along with Escayola, who also makes plenty of appeal on breeding being related to a multiple winner in Italy. Gap Year is progressing along the right lines and looks best of the remainder.
