The shortlist in a race run to commemorate the great Pat Eddery's retirement consists of Stateroom, Sandenista and Blue Trojan, with our selection being Sandenista. The Luca Cumani-trained filly has raced just twice but comes here on the back of a falsely run Newcastle maiden win. It is hard to glean how good she is from that but could be well handicapped. Stateroom won over this course and distance last month and races here off the same mark, and Lisa Jones takes a useful three pounds off his back. Blue Trojan is also a course and distance winner but from an eight-pound higher mark, so this will be tougher. Amoras is also a course and distance winner and if Jamie Spencer can get a tune from her, she could go well from just a two-pound higher mark than her last win. They look to be the key contenders with Sandenista getting the nod.
