COMRADE COTTON is hitting some decent form of late and gets the verdict here ahead of Desert Hawk and Soviet Sceptre. The selection has been steadily progressing so far this year and hasn¿t placed outside the minors at the last three attempts. He is yet to find a victory on the turf but he rarely puts in a below par effort and if his current progress continues then a win here today looks more than possible. Desert Hawk hasn't been seen on the turf since November but that shouldn't be of too much concern. His yard are going well recently and he runs off a fair mark today so should make the frame. Tim Vaughan's Soviet Sceptre looks best of the remainder although he hasn't been seen since putting in a dismal effort at Bath in October last year. He's done well on the turf in the past and the going here should suit.
