Verdict

Alicia Darcy seems to have been transformed by the move to Archie Watson, whose shrewd placement of the filly has yielded two wins in eight days. She obliged with something to spare on both occasions and has every chance of making it three on the bounce. However, MONTALVAN (NAP) is also in fine form for a yard which continues to go well and gained a deserved success at Ripon on Saturday after two strong previous efforts. It's a close call between them but the Fell runner is preferred. Awa Bomba scored when last seen in March on Fibresand but has yet to show anything on Turf so the market might help reflect stable expectations on this comeback run.
