This could be another winner for Mark Johnston, with Lady Karr getting the vote ahead of Party Ploy, Gaelic Roulette and Pearl's A Singer. As you would expect, many of these are closely matched on adjusted ratings but, that said, the selection is fairly unexposed and maybe did not benefit from being ridden close to the pace over two miles last time. The drop to 12 furlongs tonight can see her in a better light and it will be disappointing if she does not run well from her in-form yard. Gaelic Roulette's best effort of the last 12 months came when third over course and distance, and a return to that level of form gives her a place chance and, much as Treason Trial lost his way following a York win in October, his trainer has a good habit of sweetening up horses. Party Ploy also has to be considered based on his course and distance win of 11 months ago, while Premier Rouge could improve at tonight's trip, but will need to in order to feature, while Bienheureux and Noble Mind seem better on the all-weather these day. Pearl's A Singer showed improvement when taking a big step up to 14 furlongs last time and the drop to 12 today might help again, and if cheekpieces bring about a little improvement from Discomania, the best of his form gives him place claims, while Blue Bajan's second to Shamrock Bay at Chester last time was a step in the right direction and he is entitled to have his supporters. However, for us, the one to be on is Lady Karr.
