THE JOBBER can defy a six pound penalty to land this handicap at the expense of Cape Royal and Woodcote. The selection got back to winning ways at Yarmouth last time out. He had dropped in the weights to what looked like a winnable mark and connections are keen to take advantage of that once again before the handicapper gets a chance to hike him up in the ratings. For that reason he is the one horse in the race to stay on the right side of. Cape Royal has won off a mark of 90 in the past but has slipped down the weights since then. He did win at Nottingham back in July and has the ability to win more races, but the stable are not in form so he has to be treated with caution. Woodcote is another to have dropped in the ratings over the last couple of years. He was back to winning ways at Kempton last month but he has since disappointed and is another that is untrustworthy. So for the winner we return to The Jobber.
